Before starting to practice under his own name in 2004, he was a partner at Hope, Duggan & Silva (1996-2004, where he headed the tax-practice group,); a foreign associate with Mayer Brown (1994-1995, Chicago Office); and an associate at Negri, Teijero & Incera (1990-1993) and at Klein & Mairal (1987-1990).

On March 19 & 20, 2015 he was called by the OECD to make an expert´s presentation in the context of BEPS, Action Plan 10 (Transfer Pricing). He was hired as special counsel for the Inter American Development Bank on transfer pricing matters (2008).

A frequent lecturer in tax law, Cristian has been teaching for over three decades. He is currently professor of International Tax and Transfer Pricing at the Buenos Aires University School of Economics; and a member of the Board of Counselors at the LL.M Tax Program, at Di Tella University. In the past, he has served as Professor of Tax Law at the Catholic University Law School; Professor of Tax Law at the Universidad Austral (1998-2004), Chairperson, both for graduate and undergraduate programs. He has lectured on Tax Law at Fundación Getulio Vargas Law School, New York University, Georgetown University and Universidad de Santiago de Chile. Cristian is a frequent speaker in tax conferences and lectures in the U.S. (ABA, IFA, and IBA joint programs), Canada, Brazil, Chile and Europe over the last thirty years; including the Argentine Branch Report for the 2008 IFA Congress (Brussels).

He has been the Argentine Correspondent for Tax Notes International (1997-2017) and has performed as member of the Advisory Board for the Tax Publications of Thompson Reuters WorldTrade Executive Inc. He is currently the Argentine contributor for the Bloomberg Transfer Pricing Forum.

Since 2014 Mr. Rosso Alba is a member of the Tax Institute of the Academia Nacional de Derecho y Ciencias Sociales (National Law Academy).

The tax practice department headed by Rosso Alba has been consistently ranked “Tier One” by International Tax Review for more than ten years, both World Tax and World Transfer Pricing; as well as a leading tax practice by Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500. In addition, International´s Who´s Who–Corporate Tax, LACCA and Best Lawyers also rank Mr. Rosso Alba as leading tax expert.
